And before we finish dealing with the topic of education, I would like to share a video with you -in Spanish, though- which touches on the sadly prevailing reality of reduced investment in Education these days.

ReplyDeleteAlthough of course it's a funny video, but what a shame! I don't really understand why goverments are reducing basic needs in a country for everybody, e.g. on "health care", or in this case on "education".
ReplyDeleteThese basic things are actually getting worse in Spain
The solution for the economic crisis in Spain can't be the cuts on education or public health. The government should administer this country in a more effective way, starting with the salary of the political.
ReplyDeleteYep, but let´s hope for a better time here in the future, jeje
DeleteAlthough we are in crisis, education was not good in Spain. Since a long time we need a radical change. For me, education should be a basic need to allow everyone to develop as an person active, critical and responsible and instead we are increasingly more individualistic, competitive and conformist. Of course the cuts will affect this situation. As stated rosary less pay for politicians and more investment in education.
ReplyDeleteI believe this government doesn't care for public institutions (be it education or otherwise) which, in the opinion of some of its ministers, are "unproductive ways of increasing the public expenditure". It deems more "productive" to charge swollen taxes on the already strained working class.
ReplyDeleteRegrettable.
